Establishment of AJM

On Friday, October 25th it was anewly up to time for a youth conference. Thus 20 motivated youngsters from Austria , Germany , Sweden and Switzerland gathered in Bliensbach nearby Augsburg to establish the Assyrian Youth Federation of Middle Europe (AJM). After having set the cornerstone for a structured youth work in Violau in spring, now in fall it was the case of reaping; namely to analyze the fruits of the initial phase. Therefore the board, which was temporarily put in charge and was represented by Simon Akcan, Shamiram Ayaz and Aryo Makko, gave a report about its activities. Within the past 6 months they designed the symbol of the AJM, worked out the statute and organized the conference and festivities on the occasion of the foundation. Moreover, there was also presented a program for the coming half a year, which includes, among other activities, visits of single clubs, lectures, small youth parties, a weekend retreat and a general youth assemble. Consequently, this plan is supposed to serve as a guideline for the future board of the federation....
